Photoshop - WHY?

Please help me folks, I have no idea whats causing this....

Using the type tool in photoshop, I'm getting UPPERCASE letters while CAPSLOCK is off.

Its just started happening for no reason. I've tried uninstalling/reinstalling and its still not helping.

:helpme

Much appreciated.

Might be your computer, not Photoshop.
:2 cents:

Might be the font you are using also if you are using a 3rd-party one

Your keyboard is the problem! You used all your lowercase letters... now your keyboard is empty!! :Graucho

hehe seriously, really weird problem! and Photoshop is the only place where the problem occurs?

Some font's are made to support only upper or lower case, use a different font =)

ALSO, in the Font Type Tool in Photoshop, there's a button that says "TT", If that is turned on, it forces upper case. Try clicking that to turn it off.

Some fonts only have uppercase letters. Change the font.

Open the charchter window (from the window selection at the top od PS):

Un-check the to "TT"... that makes all caps, there are a few more you can play with that change the text caps.

definately a font issue

Fabuleux 06-14-2004 12:27 PM

I had that once, can't remember how I solved it, but it is a Photoshop setting. And I have it today fucking again. Check Google and post results please :Graucho
A friend helped me out last time, but he isn't online now.

I know this is a stupid question, but I' m qualified to ask it.. so here goes..

Did you try powering down the PC completely, then restarting completely?

Dont laugh, I once went 30 minutes plus in customer service when a lady said her vcr wouldnt play. After 30 or 40 minutes, I learned that she had never pressed the "Play" button. *shoots self*
