Firebird Email Client?
anybody use Thunderbird email client? if so any good?
i'm not surfing with IE anymore but for now I'm still using OutlookExpress which is a piece of crap that keeps downloading attachments when I tell it to leave the fuckers on the server. any other good non bulky email clients? |
I used to use this!
I use an internet based email client now - much like Yahoo or Hotmail but it's a paid service - no ads. Makes it much easier for me to check mail from anywhere :winkwink: |
I've been using theBat for three years, and it's well worth the registration fee. With a plugin you can download hotmail, as well.
It's at http://www.ritlabs.com |
I use Mozilla Thunderbird (also use Mozilla FireFox as my browser when I'm not testing IE compatibility).
I like Firefox. I really liked Outlook, but the thing has more security holes than I cared to put up with. Thunderbird has some reasonably configurable filters and sorting tools, and I have it set-up to prompt me before it downloads any attachment (and I just cancel so no attachments get downloaded). I'd recommend it if you don't need any of the extra features that Outlook has. |
I have used just about every email client available and have used thebat for years ( the best win client ). Thunderbird is better. Email clients do not handle disk space or files well. Thunderbird does. Feature rich and lightweight, you can't go wrong with Thunderbird.

thanks for the feedback, i d/l'ed Thunderbird and will give it a shot.
check your site stats and see how many people are fleeing MISE/OE these days. Only a year or so ago sometimes as high as 95% of visitors were using IE, it's now down to the low 80's. |
