I was being gay today and watched the Woman's Olympic Diving Preliminaries...
 

and I noticed something that threw me off.

There were some young divers, 15 or so. Every time they came out of the water the camera view changed and it showed them talking to their coaches. At that point, their coaches slapped them on their asses for either a congratulatory or "get'em next time" endorsement. :eek7

The coaches ranged from early 40's to late 60's - and they were slapping those 15 year old divers on the ass like they just recovered a fumble to win the Super bowl! Hell, I could have sworn that I even saw a cupped hand or two WITH the squeeze! Maybe I'm just tripp'n, but that shit was wack!

LOL yeah I've noticed that whole butt pat thing for awhile now...you see it in girl's gymnastics as well...old farts patting the bottoms of these young girls.

I guarantee you if you did that at some soccer game in your local town they'd run you out of there...but if you're Bella Karoli it's okay. ;)

He's not referring to girls patting each other on the butt..but old fart coaches doing it to these young girls in sports.

Now that I'm in my 40's I have this strange urge to coach girl's diving. Now I know why.

There were only a handful of them under 18. I'm getting ready for the Olympics...I'm a fanatic. :thumbsup

No, I don't think fantasizing about it is bad at all. Doing it however.... well, I can think of a few dads who wouldn't put up with any forty-something or fifty-something guy slapping their teen daughters bathing-suited ass. I can think of a few who would lay a good wholluping on a fucker like that actually. lol


I do love the Olympics though. No one is more of a fanatic about them than I. Have any of you ever been to an Olympics? I was at the '76 Olympics in Montreal, it was pretty amazing.

I was at the '88 Olympics in Seoul and it was truly awesome. I was there when the U.S. Baseball team beat Japan for the Gold. The U.S. basketball team used my H.S. gym to practice. I was a real experience and I'm excited about this year's games. :thumbsup

Yup, once you've been to an Olympics you are changed forever, and you never forget it. My dad worked for the CBC back then so we got set up in an apartment in Montreal for 2 months back in 76. That city is just full of character and great things to see and do. My mom and I attended the Forum, had floor seats right behind the Russian women's gymnastic team. I saw Olga Corbett up close, and Nadia Komaneche. Spent another day in the then-new Olympic stadium and saw Bruce Jenner.

I would love to go see the next games in person. I love the winter Olympics too and would love to attend one of those at least once as well.
