Ok I don't get this. What does each side risking $450 mean?

Is that the bet?? Coz when I see "If I lose I send another $450 Friday" It screws me up.

I lost to him last week and had to pay him $450..
so I'm just saying I'll send him another $450 if Detroit Pistons lose....
