Nero question, img file and mp3 burning.

Buddy is trying to burn some mp3's with Nero in a way that you can listen to them on a normal cd player. As a .wav file that is i guess. I know you normally drag the mp3 files in the record window and click the burn icon and it burns those songs right away. Now in his case when you hit the burn button it opens a window asking where you want to save the .img file. It just keeps doing that. We dont want to save an .img file. On my puter the same thing works perfectly fine but on his puter it keeps on popping up the img file save box. Anybody any clue whats wrong?

I use Nero all the time, never had that happen either. Sorry, I even opened it and tried to get that. Even if I save an image, it will save it like .nra format.

He could use some "mp3 to cd" freeware. I had one, but can't remember it's name.

Were they converted to wavs first?

Nero automatically converts them to wav and then just before its supposed to burn it opens that box asking where you want to save the img file.

There is somewhere a checkbox to choose to save to .img file first. It's also possible his computer isn't fast enough to decode the mp3 on the fly.

I can't boardwhore and make money at the same time, but better late then never: Choose Audio CD -> CDA Options -> Disable "Cache track on harddrive before burning" and check your CDA file stratagies.
