The alternate pet thread

We had so many dog/cat threads before so let's have an alternate pet thread. If you have a pet other than a dog or cat, post a pic and let's see what you have!

I'll start...here is my pet bird, can you spot him?

You get them descented (scent glands removed), and they are fine, so long as you bathe them once a week/month.

Cheers,
Matt

This is Fred, he was being mistreated so he was rescued. He is very social and friendly.
He is much happier now that he gets fed every day and has many other friends to spend his days with.

Descenting is a myth. Descenting doesn't do anything to change a ferret's usual smell, it only affects the scent they let off when they're freaked out. Kinda like skunks do.

I really don't find them smelly, and I spend most of my time in the same room as their cage. Just give em a bath every few weeks, change the towels and litter every week, and you're fine. Some people just really don't like that "musty" natural odor they have.

They're neat animals, but expect the work that a puppy takes, not that you're getting something akin to a hamster.
