Spammers Trick
it works, i am my very best test group. The guys who are sending out non-porn spam with weird ONE word subject headers get me to click. I just clicked on a spam email with subject 'watermelon', and before that one i clicked on one with subject header 'foil'. Had to do it, and I click on no other spam mail no matter how amazing it sounds but these oddball one worders get me.

Also Illegal I believe
|
i always view spam titles "hey" or "re:hey"
|
dont you hate that shit!!
:BangBang: spammers |
I always click ones that re: as a subject because I very rarely send an email with a subject.
|
why do you click on that? i dont click on anything if i dont know who its from. i dont get much spam anyway though
|
I click on them often too

obviously it works because whoever is mailing these is a large scale spammer and is having success, they'll keep doing it until it doesn't work any better than some other type of subject header. |
As I was reading this, I got one
Stiffy Mail - Take my wife, everyone else has still didint click on it. |
Probably best way to deal with spam is to have multiple email accounts... one for signing up on websites... one maybe 2 for business, and one more for personal use...
With this strategy all your spam should be concentrated in one or 2 email addresses, and the rest should be clean... |
also how about that somewhat new (at least in my inbox) trick where the spammers send out a completely blank email just to verify their lists and see which addresses bounce right in the smtp session. wont help them much for mailbox full errors but helps identify if the email actually exists and can accept mail.
