well..I can say why I like living in London...it is only just one part of the UK.

I love living in London for its liberal attitude to how you live your life. I love that despite what people think about the food you can get whatever food you want from whatever ethnic origin at whatever time you want in London. I love that it is made up of an incredible mix of races and nationalities and that I can turn a corner and almost feel like I have gone to a different country.

I love this history here, I love being able to go to the opera one night..the globe another night and a really skanky punk club in Camden Town the next.

I love that I am in the same town as some of the most powerful politicans and the most famous parliment in the world.

The people here are genruine and characters all rolled into one. Ever met a London cabby? that is character! lol

I love this place and will be happy to be here for the rest of my life.

It aint bad living here apart from winter when ya need five layers. People generaly are stoners or piss heads which is cool because you never run out of places to go. Were quite a friendly bunch really. We all wish we lived in another country and most of us do end up moving somewhere else.

In aint bad but there's many better places to live.

Amen, most of us seem to be flocking to Spain at the moment... I think we might go as far as Hungary soon.

What sucks even more is that Livingston has another few years as Mayor.. That vote must of been bias.. die die die.

Yeah, so... the highlights of U.K / London that I can tell you is as follows, - you're never more than 2-3 hours car drive from an airport. If you have the privellege of living in london, you've got a large choice of night clubs and bars/pubs.. quite a few concert halls, shame there are only a few good bands around to play them.

Apart from that, you're pretty much stuck with high tax, high petrol prices... ridiculous cost of living and cramped housing... in my current area, a 1/2 bedroom flat [5 - 6 rooms in total] goes for between 150-300k GBP ~ $250-600k .. which makes me wanna move all the more :feels-hot

The USA is the only place in the world where every morning you wake up you know you'll be free forever. Wouldn't live anywhere else besides the US of A.

whatever...I have woken up many mornings in both countries and as far as freedom goes it feels exactly the same (and I am someone sensitive to those things). Plus, I wake up over here feeling much more informed of what it is like to wake up in other countries than I ever did when I lived in the States.

Have to love how no one can ever say they like their own country without someone coming in and telling them why they can't like it because the USA is better. Maybe it is..but shut up and let other people enjoy their own - perfectly fine - countries.

dont know about the rest of the uk , but i would never move from scotland , mainly because of the history, the scenery the fact that when you go outside some arsehole doesnt try to knock you down to get 2 seconds in front of the rush,

yep taxes are higher, gas is more expensive, but if thats the price of staying here then im happy to pay it.

I can see hanging out in Scotland! Had some visitors from Scotland come to town to visit friends. The chicks were so hot it was scary. They jumped all over us. You'ld think there were no guys in Scotland. We had to fight em' off.

haha, i cant really tell you much about london etc, ive only been down a couple of times and was usually only to get a flight.

I live down on the south coast in Thomas Hardy country, Dorset, for the educated amongst you the place of "Far from the madding Crowd, "The Mayor Of Casterbridge" and "Tess".

Five miles from me is Lulworth, great for sea fishing and scuba diving.

Bournemouth is a great seasode holiday destination. Plenty of topless bathing around the pier in summer! Award winning clean beaches, great pubs, clubs, and a couple of rather good lap dancing bars!:Graucho

The UK has plenty to offer, even though the weather could be better. We are taxed at 40% (if you are any good at your job) There's a shit government at the moment but hopefully not for much longer, and the football kicks off tonight against France, which the whole country will come to a standstill.

tonight is an example of why I love living here....in about 30 minutes the whole place (England that is) will come to a standstill and be focused on the same thng and it has nothing to do with war but something far more important - beating France.

Yes, we saw it on the news here! Soccer and rioting! Gotta have that rioting after the game or it ain't worth the admission.

Don't know how you guys commit crimes and realize there's no place to escape.

Other than that, looks like a wonderful island.
