Mad thumbs submission problems
 

anyone from mad thumbs read GFY? I have a partner submit and for the past two days once I get past the submission process to the thumbnail submit I keep getting this error

"Your thumb dimensions are wrong. It must be EXACTLY 88 x 88 pixels. Please try again."

It's 88x88 and less than 7k... Doesnt happen with the other madthumbs family sites...

Happened to me with the last two submissions as well.. the thumb was ok 88x88 and under 7k..

Arent all his spots sold anyway?

I get great traffic from the archives.

Mike and Cam are at a 3 day concert, we've been trying to get a hold of them to let them know about the trouble but we've been unable to do so as yet. Worst case, this will be resolved in 2 days.

Just left a messge for them.. Can't guarantee it can get fixed right away, but they are being made aware of the problem.. Don't panic :)

If you beg and grovel and kiss the ring, you might get a submission pass to get your galleries in the archives. I have a couple of my skanks in the ebony section as we speak.

And for anyone concerned about their paid spots, there's nothing to worry about on that end, they were submitted and pre-updated ahead of time.

Any sales? I've always found the archives to be very productive :)

What sucks is that you cant submit the same URL because it was already written to the db... even though you can submit 5 galleries a day with a partner pass..

I don't track where the sales come from as long as they come :) But the traffic is nice...It's amazing how you can get that kind of traffic just off of their archives when you can't get clicks like that on the FRONT page of a lot of tgp's.

The problem is that some idiots with partner passes started cheating and it pissed them off. I saw them mention it on the submit form..

Even in the ebony section. I saw some dude submitting galleries from different domains that promoted the same African Fantasies sponsor with the same linking code....WHY??

I can't understand why people get VALUABLE submit passes and just fuck them up by cheating. The person that cheats loses in the long run and honest people who are trying to get their foot in the door CAN'T do it because the cheaters fucked it up for everybody else.

I agree, those fuckers make it really hard for the rest of us. I think the best model is http://www.tgpsitecentral.com Charge a small monthly fee and weed out the cheaters, I wish all/most tgps would do this....

They should be charging $50 a month IMO, instead of $5..

This way you can weed out the cheaters, and you can also see who can afford it and who cant..

For front page listings I believe... but some partner listings happen, and even addition to the archives can be a valuable traffic source. I find the archives very productive. Mad Crew has more sites than Madthumbs though, it's just the biggest.

The only reason I am behind the 8ball in this game is I wasted good money on ppc and not focused where I should have.
Tho it was all fine until my work in Melbourne finished and the move to Queensland set me back on sites/hosting and such.
I did a gallery i think was a teen in Aug 2003, with next to no text and selected the wrong sponsor to promote there was no story to the picture layout and it was a complete waist of important time of this person to have listed it in his top 10. I will not say who, but this guy I do respect and if he is reading this, I will overcome my personal cc debt by the end of this year and will be ahead again with cash flow to perform a positive gallery campaign.

If they charge you $5, then they have your contact info from the credit card, and then, if you cheat, they can find you.

It was a good business move. No need to raise the fee. :)

Also, It's easy to register new domains and cheat, but, Now when they cancel your account they can put your card on the blacklist and you'll never get a submission account with them again.

The problem with that is I can use a CC generator and get thousands of working cards .. and what the fuck would a Russian cheater care about stealing US credit cards? :-/

its easy to gain partner account... just sign up for partner account and showcase your finest gallery for easy approval... thats all and im sure they will approved your application... :winkwink:
