My mom said she'd disown me if I ever bought a motorbike.
My GF is having some thoughts like that too. I wonder if my driving is too hasty for them. |
That would suck big time.

That was 1986. I've ridden various bikes since, but never owned one since then. I can only imagine what this guy went through, my leg healed up in a matter of weeks. |

In finland there's like 4 months in a year you can ride.. they are on their bikes as much as they possibly can, and unfortunately drive as fast as they can. Although, it's a different matter of fucking up your life and to have a drunk driver fuck your life up. Unfortunately usually the talent of a driver can't save them if someone else fucks up on the road :( |

"my ankles were disjointed" "I stood and staggered about briefly" Some would not be able to move let alone stand.. could be shock.. people have been known to do intense things while in shock! |

One of my old high school chums was literally destroyed while riding, but it was pretty much his own fault. About 4 years after we all graduated he borrowed another guy's 650 Ninja and took it for a honk. He did a wheelie going the wrong way on a one-way street and put the front tire right throught the windsheild of a car head-on.
It was a closed casket ceremony. R.I.P. Kevin. |
That's a horrible story.
But maybe someone could answer a question for me: if his hands were mangled beyond use, how did he type out that LONG ASS story? |

I was hoping it wasn't true. After reading more, I see that it is true and that the guy took his own life just a few days ago: http://www.zrxoa.org/forums/showthre...threadid=57567 Damn. Time to donate money to his kid's trust fund. |
And people wonder why I have never been interested in riding a bike.
That's such a horrible story :( |
We have a bike that we used to ride all the time, but I just can't take the stress of it anymore. Vancouver is a LOT busier than it was 10 years ago, and I'mnot as carefree as I once was.
A few weeks ago I was watching "residents" or some such on TLC. A guy got in a bike accident and his wrists and ankles were shredded so badly that they had to amputate them ALL. He woke up to no hands or feet, and he was crying, thanking the doctor for saving his life. His family came in later and said they would help him through it (he was a father and husband). That kinda turned me off riding for good, I think. |
I Pay Pal'd $125 to the kid's trust fund and I challenge other webmasters to match or beat it.
Many of us are parents. I can only imagine how horrible that kid's life must be at the moment. |
I also called the guy that's collecting for the trust fund and talked to him for awhile. I am very confident this is legit.
Donate, people! Have a heart. |
That's a sad story
