Content for affiliates - suggestions
 

Hi,

Quick questions about giving content to affiliates to promote the site:

1. Big raw pics or resized & color corrected?
2. Watermarked or not?
3. If watermarked, what sort of watermark (paysite url, paysite logo)?

Any other suggestions?

I dont offer as much content these days, because affiliates only seem to want hosted galleries these days.

But I think affiliates prefere no watermarking.

But there are plenty of sponors who put on very very big watermarks and do very well such as Facial Cash

If it's content to be used ONLY in the promotion of the sponsor, what's the problem with watermarking? If an affiliate is going to promote my site, for example, the images have the site logo watermarked... that's the whole idea, build name and visual recognition of the site, true?

However, I completely agree with your assessment of hosted galleries. I also allow them to use those galleries on their own server for the sake of implanting recip tables, changing text, etc.

To the rest of the original question:
1 - Ask your affiliates what they want. Maybe there's a way to offer both raw and edited? Just like a business, the best way to find out what your "customers" want is to ask them! :)

3 - I would say it doesn't matter if the wm is text or logo - but I would, however, keep it standard across the board...
