Do Male Cats Go into Heat at age 2????

Do Male Cats Go into Heat at age 2????

Im kinda worried here..

Ive had female cats before and i remember what it was like when they went into heat..

Well my male cat is doing something like it..

But he is 2 years old..

Do male cats go into heat?? And is age 2 the age?

Im worried my cat may be sick??

StuartD 06-11-2004 09:18 PM

if not neutered, then yeah.... what is your cat doing specifically?

freeadultcontent 06-11-2004 09:18 PM

Mine was trying to hump other cats during his first year, either mine was an early bloomer and took after you fucking everything or your cat is a late bloomer.

boneprone 06-11-2004 09:19 PM

Yeah hes been neutured.

doober 06-11-2004 09:20 PM

boneprone 06-11-2004 09:20 PM

when he comes back in from outside, he plops over like hes hurt and lays on his side and moans..

like his pride is hurt or he just ran a marathon..

jimmyf 06-11-2004 09:20 PM

male cat's don't go in heat, females do.

Look out if there is a female within, don't know for sure but I'd at least 1/4 mile

Spunky 06-11-2004 09:21 PM

Take him out of the room while your surfing

Rictor 06-11-2004 09:22 PM

Male cats, if not fixed, will spray all over your house and mark their territory. Female cats that aren't fixed spray too.

Sometimes they will do this even if they are fixed. My male cats humps our female cat all the time even though they're both fixed. She hates it and hides from him when he gets horny.

could this be his whats happening? he smells another cat in heat??

Damn.. He acts soooooo famished and hurt when he come in from outside..

Moaning and crying..

Then 1 hour later he's fine.. Eating and going bonkers as usual.

boneprone 06-11-2004 09:23 PM

My cat is FIXED...

boneprone 06-11-2004 09:25 PM

maybe he got in a fight with another male cat over terrotory and lost??

doober 06-11-2004 09:25 PM

keep your cat indoors, he smells the neighbourhood pussy

:2 cents:

StuartD 06-11-2004 09:27 PM

yeah... tough call. I don't know. If your cat is fine again after an hour, then yeah... I'd assume physically he's ok.

The must be something out there that's bothering him.

could be, they can act pretty strange, make some funny noise's also, you would think they are dieing

undermyspell 06-11-2004 09:56 PM

male cats can spray even after they are fixed.. I've had one and my niece has had one so it does happen.

Maybe the cat's neurotic.. my sister has a cat that's crazier than hell so she has to give it cat tranquilizers or some shit...

He will be perfectly fine and then just fall over in the floor like he's dead and when you go to check on him he reaches up and claws the shit out of you....

twistyneck 06-11-2004 10:09 PM

You should do the right thing and have it put to sleep.

My male cat acts like a sex maniac and he's fixed. I think if a cat is not fixed until after it "matures" that it will want to hump stuff, and other cats. I got my cat at the pound at age 2, so I don't know his past history.

I was reading about this, and they use these "teaser toms" (fixed male cats who still want to get it on) to have sex with female breeding cats in heat, during times when they don't want the female to have babies.

graphicsbytia 06-12-2004 12:20 AM

y'all quit it.. you're turning me on

yeah exactly..

Moans, and just lays on his side...

For about 20-30 minutes after he come home from outside..

He wont even drink or eat his favorite treats..

Just moans and moans..

My 7yr old neutered tom is going through the same thing, I think it's a combination of the weather changing and a neighbourhood cat in heat, he's really yowly and when he comes indoors just flops onto his side and pants - we've been through this before and he always gets over it.

YES!!

Exact same thing!

We had our cats fixed early as possible and they don't hump anything. They are laid back and fat.

Your cat's probably having flashbacks.

Flashbacks of having his nuts cut off??

boneprone 06-12-2004 02:40 AM

No wonder he looks so pissed half the time.
