Not much they can do if people haven't got their shit yet or are just getting it.

I'd like to see it too......really unfair not to announce it for all the contestants-pinned on the board or in email ... I busted my ass to get mine shot by today and didn't get to shoot my original idea because of the weather, when I could've shot it this weekend had I known this.

Wasn't worried about that a bit, just think this is going to cause some panic amongst most of the contestants. There was a thread a few days ago containing some drama about posting them here too early, we don't want to see that happen again.

Yep, that's why we're asking about it. I would think if there is an extension someone would let you resubmit based on hardship. Wouldn't be much more than someone not recieving the gear. Plus, anyone who was late could claim they did not get the stuff until the 13th or something, the packages were not sent out requiring a signature.

i would post the icq logs but i never do that but i was told the 14th, i brougth this up because i had seen lens (looking for the post now) saying its extended and the page just has not been changed...

I do agree that it would suck for someone to get it 2morrow or on monday...

We don't get mail here on saturdays so I guess mine will come in on monday, and I'm not just saying it either, I've been checking the mail at least 4 times a day lol

We don't want to kick anyone out because they didn't get their gear, so I think giving girls a little more time to get their gear is a good idea. Of course we can't hold it up forever though. Of course, if anyone wants to reshoot their pic because of a delay, that's fine.

I didn't scroll that thread to find it, but I take your word for it. I was the second person to post in that thread and didn't go back to it because it was about who hadn't gotten theirs , and I'd gotten mine.

Seems like the appropriate and fair thing would have been a thread from Lens or Loryn- and official pinned thread actually including the new deadline in the thread and also an email to all the contestants, not a post in someone elses thread

Well thanks for the update.

I put so much time and effort into securing a location and shooting mine very late last night, I won't be re-shooting, but wish I had known, so I could've waited and shot it this weekend in the sunshine !

It was in Kcat's "Haven't got my stuff yet" thread. Lensman came in and said "Stop worrying, the date is the 14th anyway." I have my stuff, but I'm taking my picture on Sunday due to scheduling, so I sure hope they didn't put it back to the 11th!

That is unfair to not let everyone know, though. :disgust
