Can't help you with that one. I get small checks for less than that on a semi-regular basis and have absolutely no clue where the hell they came from. I just deposit them and wait for them to clear. LOL

i would just frame it or throw it to the garbage....
it's pretty insulting giving check of this amount to my bank teller...

Do what I do. Wait til you have like 100 of those kind of checks and deposit 'em. Who cares where it's coming from so long as it's coming!

i received an electric bill rebate chech for 22 cents once.. the stamp + envelope + check cost probably 3x as much.

the sponsor is usually in the US so you have to pay for envelope, stamps...

Oh no! They snail mail everything? Sheesh. We have a family friend that is in Israel about 3 months of the year but he never mentioned that sort of thing. I guess we're all so used to everything being done electronically here now.

nah , right now the situation is fine.
i don't care if the bank takes $9 for every $1000 check i recieve.
in the past i used to wait 15 days until i could use the money of the check (because of the approve needed) but right now because i have lots of credit in my bank i can use the money right away..
