Stopping DOS attack
 

I have a friend who get lots of DOS attacks and I was wondering, is there a way to stop that? His there anyone over here who can help or refer me to a good website for that.

sure locat the file take it offline :)

don't accept icmp packets, duh

unless you're getting smurfed

ask him to contact his upstream provider for his site.

It's really hard to help you without understanding what type of attack it is. This "friend" of yours, can "he" specify what kind it is?

Is it attacking the server, the webserver, etc...
