Which ones have you used and stand by and which ones are over-inflated pieces of crap?

Has anyone used Proxtpass and have used Iprotect, Pennywize or another password/proxy protection script?

I use proxy pass and password sentry very happy with both of them.

Both on the same site or both on different ones? If on the same site, why? Doesn't the extra load cause problems?

We use pennywise... Got it for a discount. $10.00 a month.. We're happy with it... Its done its job more than once...

i use the iprotect module for apache, works fucking great

There's a time and place for PHP, this isn't that time nor place!

IProtect is very good. It's extremely stable, it use almost nil resources and it doesn't depend on someone else's servers being up to keep it operational.

I use Iprotect on a couple of servers and am extremely pleased with it.

glad to see someone else uses it and agrees with me on it's stability and usability
