MPG or WMV format???
 

The most provider offer mpg format but I do not like mpg format.

If I get a whole video in 20 clips with 1 min length (mpg) how can I convert the clips in wmv format???

And how can I split a video in 1 minute clips?

Example:

Source: 30 min video in mpg format

Should I now first convert the mpg in wmv and then cut it in 1 min clips or is it better to cut the mpg file in 1 min clips and then convert the 1 min mpg clips in 1 min wmv clips?

What is better and faster??

Which software is available for this work??

Use the alpha setting while encoding AVI, is about 20% smaller than MPG.

Search for "encoding AVI alpha setting".

The question is not what you like, the question is what surfers like. Sure, WMV movies are smaller but surfers by far prefer MPG. Are you in this business to save money or make money?

Searching for hours for an "alpha setting".

Use cleaner XL from http://www4.discreet.com/cleanerxl/ to put it in any format you want, and AVI/MPEG/ASF/WMV Splitter from http://www.boilsoft.com/ to split them
