Any opinions?

Alright, I have been writing regular HTML code for about 3 years, working with flash for about 1 and a half, and writing some easy Java Script. Any ideas on what would be the best language or program to work with? I am looking forward to creating some web pages for money. I am open to opinions.

I just flail around with Page Mill... if your coding is good, I really don't think it makes a difference what software you use, just find a package you like.

Good lick!
... er, "luck" that is...

CGI scripting is a useful tool to learn.

You know it Rictor! Our tech left java and JS until now. He went to CGI/Perl as well as the mySQL dbase work after html. Implementation of tables in lieu of mySQL for some things are also useful.

Well, if I could ever get a visual basic program 6 again, then I'd start making some programs again. Delphi 5 (what I'm using now) is lame. It's a dead language >.<

VBScript/ASP & and PHP are also quite popular. You might wanna check them out.

I love working with php - it's a lot more intuitive than perl...

I use crayons. Writing code in crayon is fun.

Actually, as a web team manager, I can tell you that database programming is big. VERY big. We're always running into situations where a client asks for something small and winds up needing something monstrous -- database driven websites are the solution, usually. *sigh* I just widh my employer would agree with me so that I could stop having to update all these projects by f#@king hand!

phew. thanks for letting me vent. LOL
