a webmaster puts up real screenshots of your sites on a main page of their site?

what would be some reasons/scenarios, if any, that you might object to such a thing?

That would be fine, however I would ask the program owners beforehand to avoid problems with copyright etc.

One response I got from a sponsor was that when using screenshots where the surfer can actually see and recognize the site, it is bad for the sponsor since the surfer will signup through the webmaster rather then go directly to that site and join. Sounds kinda logical...

Hell, I've let people use my backgrounds, logos and whatever else they needed....... as long as they are promoting me, I'll give them whatever tools they need..... as I am sure most probably would these days. :)

Well if you are promoting it, isn't that kind of the idea, to signup under the affiliate promoting it? That seems logical to me unless I am missing something or read this wrong. LOL
