Reflected Networks - status
I normally don't go posting to the boards for issues like these, but in this case I believe it's warranted (I didn't check to see if there was another thread or not on this).
We have been experiencing some extremely hard to track down and fix spanning tree protocol issues within our network today starting at roughly 6am. Up until this point, they were very sporadic and most customers probably havn't noticed anything at all.
However about 20 minutes ago our internal VLAN seems to have imploded, and we are still working on bringing it back up. Through some oversight both our authorative dns servers we housed on this vlan. The servers were on seperate switches, power feeds. etc. - but it was never thought an actual vlan itself would pose a risk of a single point of failure.
We are actively repairing this issue and expect resolution of some sort within 20-30 minutes at most. When the full underlying issue is rooted out and fixed permanently, all customers will recieve a notice w/ full followup information explaining what was done in detail. Service credits will be give across the board.
I apologize for the headaches. I wanted to post this just in case anyone was having problems contacting support tonight. We are aware, and are actively working towards resolution.
Thanks,
-Phil
