First Bass tournament is coming up this sunday;

are there more smallmouth Bass fishermen lurking this board, or am I the only one?

If so, what's your biggest catch?; what kind of lure is your favorite?

Mine is the soft plastic assessin shad's or flukes.

There is some sort of Tournament here this weekend too, not sure for what, but it is a pretty big one. My 15 yr old son wants to be in those so bad he can't stand it. He knows all and sees all when it comes to fishing...... to the point I wanna throw his ass in the damn lake myself. LOL

I can say "clean your room" but he doesn't hear that, I can be 5 miles away from him and MENTION the word fishing and he'll come running at full attention. LOL

can you use live bait in a tourny ?

no live baits on tournaments; at least not in the one I'm in.

I love fishing for Bass!!!

I use a top water bait, spinner bait and a rattle trap!

I haven't been in a year, but I use to fish several times a week!

I was even fishing from my boyfriends ski boat...LOL, It was also during a Bass Tourney. When I would see them I would hide my Rob...LMAO

Largest fish I caught was an 8 Pound Largemouth Bass!
Threw it back, I didn't want to have it mounted!

I've got a Pr.Craft bass boat that will pull you on waterski's, so don't hold back ;-)

I've never catched a largemouth, but have seen pictures of a lunker in the weight you are referring to. Sure an impressive and beautifull fish.

from the hard body lures (like rappela's) i used the floaters a lot in my first year in Canada. Caught some nice smallies but nothing real big.

in weed or lillipad bodies i sometimes will try my luck with a big spinner bait. Other than that I stick to flukes and shads.

Tjeez, i almost can't wait untill Sunday.

More excitement even this weekend, because of the euro 2004!

I fish in Southern California almost 100% ocean fishing. The biggest "bass" I have caught is a 50.1 pound white seabass.

Great fight and on 20# test too. Took like 45 minutes.

I wish I could find the pic damn it!
