CCBill Fee

what is that - I was under the impression any fees that get taken out before the payount in the admin section?

I know IBILL does it that way, so if it says I made 12 dollars on a sale, I really make 12 dollars on a sale...

I took the amount of the fee, put it over my check, and it comes out to about 6.7% of the gross??

Johny Traffic 06-09-2004 11:54 AM

I thinks it 13% with a small minimum

studio 06-09-2004 11:58 AM

14.5 % unless the site is hosted with their partner company Cavecreek hosting... then 13.5%

BV 06-09-2004 12:14 PM

That is half of the CCBill processing fees that your sponsor is taking out of your check. So if he is saying he has a 50/50 revshare he is lying to you.

Read the sponsors terms.

Some programs make you pay some don't.

We do not, we pay all the fees paying you a TRUE 50%.

Peace,
BV

emmanuelle 06-09-2004 04:59 PM

The % depends on the sponsor's volume. We have not paid 13.5% for years....

Just to bust ccbills balls a bit, they also charge .37 for transfer costs yet the postage on the envelope is only 29.5
They be shaving us 7.5 cents per week man :1orglaugh

I dont really push them much, but my partner noticed additional fees one day.

without digging up stubs, I shit you not, ive seen them take out 13+ bucks and the check was like $110 or something, NOT more than $130 for sure, so its over 10% or right around it, but the fees suck regardless.

it doesnt cost 13 bucks to mail a fucking check.

This is a change right? a few months ago it wa not there. then I noticed it too. I think they used to add a bonus to offset it. But i send more signups and little to no bonus now.

PrivateIvy 06-09-2004 05:42 PM

it's 14.5% unless the account holder does volume and gets a discount or they host with cavecreek .

Your % deducted would mean the sponsor is splitting fees with you

:2 cents:

damn LOL never noticed that. The 37 cents always pissed me off...either you pay for a wire transfer or pay for postage...like what? They aren't gonna pay you at all if you don't pay them to Get paid ?

LMAO

never noticed the postage was only 29.5 cent though....LOL

I do not mind it, just thought I would bring it up since people were bitching about fee's.

Biggy2 06-09-2004 06:17 PM

thats what i thought. wasn't sure as I don't think I was ever hit with it before except starting a few weeks ago. just a quick question, since im promoting a ton of different sponsors, do they calculate the fee based on each individual's programs terms?

they must do this, right?

Wow are you guys really that bad at math?

Lets compare a 50/50 with no fees, and a 60/40 with split fees

first 50/50 (no fees to affiliate)
---------------------------------------
sale amount: 34.95

affiliate 50%: 17.48
no fees: 0
affiliate net: 17.48

sponsor 50%: 17.47
ccbill fees (11%): 3.84
sponsor net: 13.63

now 60/40 with split fees
--------------------------------
sale amount: 34.95

affiliate 60%: 20.97
split fee (11%): 2.31
affiliate net: 18.66

sponsor 40%: 13.98
split fee (11%): 1:54
sponsor net: 12.44

You make more as an affiliate on 60/40 with split fees than 50/50 with no fees! Your income EVEN AFTER FEES is still 53.4% of the total sale

Steve, i am not talking about other programs, and bringing them up doesnt mean shit.

You guys take out a 10% "check processing fee" comparing it to opther programs doesnt matter, the fee is still there.

which this thread was about, fees. Cant deny them they are there, and have been.

Fletch, the "check processing fee" you are referring to is the above mention 11% ccbill fee, which is why we give 60% instead of 50%, to cover it. The extra few percent we give the affiliates is to make up for the exit traffic that we sell off.

Man, why are you trying to make this look dishonest? I'd be happy to keep the extra 1.18 and give you a 50/50 no fees. Deal?

Better yet, sign up for our new $30 per join program, and forget about the fees completely!

I am not trying to make anything look dishonest.

I have pushed your sites longer than msot people in this thread.

I didnt say you fucking HIDE FES, I mentioned them being there.

saying I am trying to badmouth you is not true, dont even say that.

I have designed logos for your cherrytwink sites, and have gotten my friends to even push you, I am not saying anything NEGATIVE or DISHONEST about you.

dont even go there man.

this thread was about FEES, nothing more.

BV 06-09-2004 07:20 PM

Steve,

Your missing the point, no one was saying you make more from a 50/50 with no fees than a 60/40 with fees. Where did you get that idea? I am not trying to make anyone look dishonest, Just trying to educate affiliates because this is one of the issues that comes up from time to time that aggravates me.

The point I was making is that many affiliates sign up for a 50/50 revshare and plan to get 50% of the membership cost. So if the membership is 24 bucks they want/think 12 bucks on and on a 60/40 they would want/think 14.40.

We pay the ccbill fees from our half wich for us is 13.5%, so from the 24 dollar membership the surfer pays: affilaite gets 12, CCBill gets 3.24 and we get 8.76.

Peace,
BV

andi_germany 06-09-2004 11:07 PM

The problem is the word revenue which is the rev in revshare?

Renenue is the money you get from a certain transaction. Now the affiliate sees the amout a membership costs. This however is not the webprograms revenue as the biller fee is deducted before the program receives payment. However the revenue is the money the program receives from the biller. So 50/50 means after fees. If a program does take all the biller fees you will be sure the program will advertise the fact so a program does not really have to tell you as the fact that is it not advertised will let you know that you have to pay the percentage of the fees.
