Digital Cameras
Im going to purchase the Canon EOS 300D or the Olympus C-8080 Wide Zoom. Thats what ive narrowed it down to. Anyone have any experience with the olympus?
Anyone have anyother suggestions about another camera i may have overlooked? |
I didn't check the models you were thinking about buying ...
But I've owned MANY cameras as I got guys taking pictures in clubs almost every night (and spill beer on it, let them fall on the floor etc). And the only thing I can tell you is that sony got very easy to undertand menus and I never have problem with them breaking down or nothing :) |
are these these super expensive ones that are just like real cameras now? I love those!
|
The cameras im talking about above are Digital SLR's or in the Olympus's Case "SLR-like" I looking to take professional high res shots with them. These are not everyday cameras

Damn that Olympus is pretty cheap for a 8 mp ... I'm a canon man when it cum to Digital SLRs .. but I'm really interested in the olympus it's got my attention ...
Growing up and goign to Photographjy school we bought Plympus cus they were cheaper then the rest and always easy cameras to find at thrift stores ... We always talked about the day I go pro is the day I buy Canon or Nikon .. I had the nikon and I'm much happier with Canon .. I just find canon products to me more durable then Nikon .. or maybe it's just my better luck with canon . ... Does anyone have a OLympus 8080? I'd love to hear more about it .. . |
Think about lenses... once you own lenses for the canon you could always up grade and still use the lenses, most likely the same with the other one... so think of what brand you feel better with and if your intending to up grade... if that make any sence!
Good luck and have fun... Denny |
damn typos ! Just woke up sorry

bump for a later crowd

Nothing more from anyone?

D300 hands down. You don't want to be stuck with the bolt on Olympus lens.
But really it's a choice between Canon 10D and Nikon D70 for the best. |
