I just had the most bizarre phone call...
 

I called my dad earlier today and left a message on his phone that I wanted him to call me back about a couple things. So the phone just rings, it's my dad, we talk, I hang up. The usual drill.

My dad just asked me to be the best man at his wedding in November. Best man!? Wedding!? What the hell is going on here!?

I was last visiting home this past Christmas. He had no girlfriend, wasn't even dating. Over the last couple months I've heard a little bit here and a little bit there about this woman...

But WOW! Getting married?! Holy shit! It's only been 5 months!

I guess I'm too young to understand? Anyway, I did say yes...

Good for you, support him, regardless of what crazy notions he has......... just like he probably did with you when you were younger. :thumbsup

Parents are funny creatures, he could have been dating her for a long time and just didn't want to tell you..... LOL

Nah. I wasn't crazy about his last fiancee. Then she got caught fucking some other guy in my dads house. Now that was a strange year.

I walked my mom down the aisle at her second wedding... Was kinda weird to be honest.

Congrats man. It's happened to me before with my dad... well several times actually. I'll never understand it myself (maybe when I'm older) just gotta accept it I guess. Like they would accept your choice if you decided to get married.

Wow. 5 months is not long but the older a person gets, the more they know what they want and maybe they just clicked. Hope for the best and drink lots of beer at the wedding party :)

5 months is a short time. I bet he knows what hes doing. Some people just know its love at first site I guess.
