COPA predictions?
 

The Supreme Court is expected to rule on COPA this June.

I looked at the last Supreme Court decision (where it was sent back down to the court below). There were several different opinions and and it was a muddle but I got the impression that the Court would PROBABLY find COPA unconstitutional.

Anyone have any predictions?

If COPA is upheld, what is going to happen to the 1 billion free sites and to the link lists?

(There is an exception in COPA that probably covers link lists, but what will they link to?)

eventually a form of it will pass, it's just a matter of when

as for me I've been COPA compliant for quite a long time...I don't like doing shit last minute...

Don't know, but there's only 22 days left.

the most practical answer to COPA concerns is content filtering.

in this way parents or others not interested in looking at smut can simply set their browser preferences to exclude websites based on certain filtering criteria. (it takes maybe 60 seconds to do.)

the responsible webmaster currently lists his sites with IRCA or equivalent.

and it is quite possible that will be the direction of any COPA ruling.
