Top banners here with sound. Arggh..
 

Man those drive me crazy sometimes. I usually have headphones on and sometimes my mouse hits those banners and the sound blasts through. Gives me a damn heart attack. HAHA

Anyway, now I have been conditioned to respond as soon as the sound starts by hitting my scroll wheel. So I never even look at the banners. I just am scrolled down to the main threads instead. Before anyone freaks I'm not hating. Just pointing out the effect those banners with sound have on me when I hit them.

yeah a few times i have been caught "off guard" while trying to hit the refresh key as i mouse over the banner

I agree, it's really a pain in the ass. Does anyone have a suggestion on how to just block the flash ones completely (other then removing the browser's flash plugin)?

You could remove the browser's flash plug in.

I always wondered about these from the marketing stand point. Are there any with sound you guys like or have gotten your attention (positive attention that is)?

Nope. I can't stand them. I scroll away from the sound as soon as it hits. Banners that look cool and catch my attention do get me. The sounds turns me away. I don't want some shitty noise, music or what ever dissrupting my music or what not. :2 cents:
