what do you measn rip from calendar?

He provided us the picture so we used it ... Not sure about how much .. it isn't anything complicated or nothing . Probably arround 100-150 depending what's on teh 2nd side.

I normally charge 225 for a full flyer both sides that takes time . The one yo just shown is very simple and basic :)

this is the stuff that worries me about not asking clients for 2257.

i have wodnered if ever clients pass off content they may not supposed to be using.

hope this is not the case as often though. i get hit with gigs of content to download and usually assume people are doing so legally, that assumptiong might bite me in the ass one day.

Yea ... I dunno I actually never asked for info since most of the time we buy the pictures ourselves ... only 2-5 % of our clients bring their own material .

But this isn't as bad as in porn where you could use a 16-17 years old girl on a tour and get into shit ... it's the client's copyright infrigement ...

i wouoldnt want to be getting mixed up with legalities regarding Maxim and print work. be careful if you are using Maxim photos man, that shit will come back to haunt you.

Doing porn tours is a bit different ya know. I see all kinds of content and its obviously porn content. That pic clearly looks like something more professional, Maxim like for sure.

I worked at this one internet company that had a user base of 6 million...for a coupla years and when I started I aske dthe boss where I should be grabbing stock photos from and his reply was "just rip them off the net from where ever..." I was fresh outta design school and was floored...but you know what for the coupla years I worked there ...not one complaint...not one.

Its a hard thing to police I guess.

We have websites where we signup to grab artwork ... we pay for our picturse most of the time (and charge the client for it).

if Lightspeed can pay someone to look for their content in google, I am sure Maxim has a legal team you and your ex boss do not want to go up against.
