i do because I have seen too much that makes me HAVe to believe

i am by far not a person that does astrology or has some new age shit going on...i am an old school punk with nasty ways...but all the shit I read and experience has led me to have no question in my mind about it

Why only past lives? Why not future lives as well?

Does it not put a dent in your thoughts that everyone seems to claim to be the same damn people. I swear cleopatra must of had 600,000 personalities/souls.
Or that there are more people alive today than all the people who have died in the past.

No, all this reincarnation, life after death is just people trying to find a purpose for life. It's all bunk! Once people realize that this is the only life we have, it becomes much more precious and beautiful.

I had a dream that I was a nun during WWII. No way could that have been anything but a past life flashback.

Hell, I've lived three or four different lives so far already in THIS incarnation. I'm totally unrecognizable compared to who I was even 10 years ago... constant growth and re-invention.

Don't plan on stopping, either. I'm really looking forward to my "don't have to work no more, beach bum ne world traveller" life when it comes. :thumbsup

I feel pretty ambiguous about it, but it's an interesting idea. My mom is pretty much a believer, partly because of bizarre things I said when I was really little (three years old?) about my mom and dad being farmers and losing their armour or some other strangeness completely unrecognizable to anyone.

I've also wondered about it because certain old buildings I go into have given me really crazy deja vu and sometimes very bad feelings, like I remember something bad happening there. One time it was so unsettling I had to leave a building and almost threw up outside. Maybe I'm just crazy though. :helpme

There are a lot of logical, rational, unextraordinary explanations for the stuff that comes out of past life regression therapy, deja vu, etc. so I don't know that I "believe" in past lives and/or psychic phenomena, but I can't rule that stuff out completely because it's just too much fun to think about!

actually, there are two types of people in this world, those that know we are destined to be who we are and live their life to the fullest and don't need external gratification......

and those who have to have an external source reassure them on a constant basis about everything (ie a god, a past life, etc...)

I myself believe in past lives and reincarnation of the souls, but I am far from trying to find a purpose, i know my purpose, and I am doing it...no matter what I do, I am filling my purpose in this world....

the ones that believe in gods and idols are the ones that are trying to find a purpose, that is worst thing in the world to me, to put faith into something other than yourself for living....

you only live once, and you are here to learn a lesson, why not live life to the fullest and gain all the knowledge from every event so when you die, you have that lesson(s) and can move on to the next life or to the afterlife.

the way I see it, if I rule anything out because I supposodly "know" how life is......i am selfish, cause none of us really know anything about before or after life, so how can you be the one that says your beliefs are the right ones?
