Is Newlywed J-Lo Expecting?

The showbiz world was buzzing today with rumours that newlywed Jennifer Lopez is expecting a baby.

Meanwhile, her new husband Marc Anthony went on American television and refused to say whether he had wed Lopez.

A spokeswoman for Lopez reportedly told People magazine at the weekend that the singer and actress had married Anthony in California on Saturday.

The spokeswoman?s office later confirmed that the report was accurate.

According to showbiz gossips, 33-year-old Lopez may have tied the knot because she is pregnant.

The New York Post reported that two separate sources had said J-Lo was expecting.

Janice Min, Editor-in-Chief of US Weekly magazine, which was one of the first to break the news of the Lopez wedding, said: ?There have been rumours about a baby on the way.

?Jennifer has made no secret that she?d love to have children. She?s very family oriented, she loves her nieces, family is important to her and we know that Marc Anthony loves children too.?

But 35-year-old Latin singer Anthony, appearing on NBC TV?s Today show, refused to talk about the nuptials.

?You all know I don?t talk about my personal life,? he said when asked about the weekend.

Despite being tight-lipped, he appeared to be wearing a wedding ring.

Pressed on whether he and Lopez had wed, he said: ?That would fall into the category of personal. And that?s where I?m going to leave it.?

Lopez, tied the knot with Anthony following a whirlwind romance, just months after her very public break-up with Ben Affleck.

It is the actress and singer?s third marriage.

Anthony got a quickie divorce from former Miss Universe Dayanara Torres last week in the Dominican Republic.

Lopez and Anthony were previously an item in April 1999 but Lopez was soon dating rap star Sean ?Puffy? Combs.

The relationship lasted until 2001 but three months later she was engaged to dancer Cris Judd.

Their marriage lasted from September 2001 until the following June.

She was then engaged to Ben Affleck but in late 2003 a planned wedding was called off.

The couple blamed media pressure at the time, but they split and, despite a brief reconciliation, they went their separate ways in January this year.

Lopez?s first marriage was to Ojani Noa. The pair split in 1998.

Affleck meanwhile has reportedly been dating a woman in Boston.

Anthony wed beauty queen Torres in May 2000 but they broke up in July 2002. They renewed their vows a few months later but split for good in October 2003.

The pair have two young sons, and he has a daughter from a previous relationship.
