A Traffic Generating Trick

Of course as usual by sheer dumbassed luck I found a traffic generating trick.

I was posting a picture of a toon on a forum that I supply toons to that niche.

By accident I put the name of the jpg as html instead. So of course the pic didn't show up but like gangbusters them horny bastards sure clicked on that link to see the pic. As I looked I noticed that they weren't clicking on my website link as much as they were clicking on that pic link.

So I quickly threw up an html page with the name I had given the pic and even though I reposted the pic correctly the first time, the surfers just still eat up that 'missing' pic link.

I remember way back in '98 something similar happened. I had posted a pic to a forum and it got removed or something and the pic didn't show. The moderator actually put up a note saying the pic was too wild for the forum ( which is bullshit, he was just a jealous asswipe we later found out ) so the surfers figured the pic was tooo out there to see and tore into my website with signups.

It's funny how sometimes you just latch onto something.
