Never Promote "Evidence Eliminator" Software

These types of programs normally delete cookies and internet caches. More so, they erase all credit you will get for any surfers visiting your sponsors through your referral links.

So in other words, promoting porn sites and "evidence eliminator" software DOES NOT mix.

4Pics 06-07-2004 08:52 PM

never understood that and popup blockers. Why promote them?

digifan 06-07-2004 08:54 PM

That's a good point... everyone should read it.:thumbsup

Because if you let your surfers block popups, they may enjoy surfing around porn sites a little more, and get jaded a little less quickly.

My post was not directed towards "Evidence Eliminator", it was directed towards any and all types of "Evidence Eliminating" software.

yeah I have always wondered about that myself - seems really stupid that sponsors would make these cookie killer things

Vitasoy 06-07-2004 09:02 PM

I remember that affiliate program... jimmysurf or something (I'm not sure)... webmasters signed up to give away free trials of computer cleaning software. The users could then buy the software for $50 after their trial expired and the webmaster would get 50%.

It turns out that the software was deleting all the temp files and cookies on the users' computers, so when the user finally decided to buy the software, the webmasters got $0 and the programmers got 100%. :1orglaugh

Would never dream of promoting that stuff. I like getting payed for my sales :glugglug

You forgot about History Kill being the exception.

It tags each download of its software with your affiliate code.

So cookies don't matter if they get deleted...
