Whats the best thing to put on a 404 page?
 

unfortunately it's all different niche traffic going to it, nothing specific.
What should I put on it? A filter page? popup hell? redirect to a paysite? other?

that reminds me, i really need to learn how to set up my 404 page, right now there's nothin.

throw up a simple html page with several nice text links on it as well as a general email collection box and possibly a link to a site you own like a tgp or link list too

throw this into a text file...

ErrorDocument 400 /index.html
ErrorDocument 403 /index.html
ErrorDocument 404 /index.html
ErrorDocument 500 /index.html
ErrorDocument 501 /index.html

name the text file .htaccess and upload it to your root domain

that will redirect error traffic to your root index page so change /index.html to the url where you want to send the traffic :)
