Just a word of friendly advice
 

Maybe I'm saying this out of frustration, but I STRONGLY URGE all of you to make backups of all of your important files on the computer!! My comp crashed and I had to format, luckily I was able to use my CDR through safe-mode to copy all of my important files; however NO other devices would work.
If your computer isn't backed up on some form Zip Disk or CD or whatever, you're taking a risk. Also, it's a bitch when you're reinstalling all of your drivers and programs and you can't find the CD keys. I recommend you keep a list of all of these somewhere so that in the unfortunate incident that you have to format, you'll have all of these in a nice, convenient location.

That's why ya keep 2 harddrives, one just for data. Backing up is still a good idea, but if you just have to format cause of one of Bill's little surprises the data is fine.

Happend to me a while ago! Lost 3.5GB of porn!!! and other stuff aswell

My entire webserver, complete with galleries and stuff gets backup up once a week, and then I move the backup file to another harddisk. My workstations software are backed up on cd's. my advice is to backup all your stuff on cd's and stack them away until they are needed.
