Calgary Flames Non-Goal .... (pic)

http://www.wallhacker.com/itsin.jpg

discuss... this was called a non-goal with 5:58 left in the game which would give calgary a 3:2 lead.

mastamind 06-07-2004 04:13 PM

its a no goal

Aquarius 06-07-2004 04:15 PM

Seems no goal to me. :2 cents:

BradM 06-07-2004 04:15 PM

It was in. But hey can't go back on it now.

4Pics 06-07-2004 04:17 PM

some angles made it look like a goal, others made it look no good. It has to be a forsure deal or no goal.

Dugan 06-07-2004 04:24 PM

thats a bullshit angle, they were showin that one on t.v. too, 10 to 1 that if they showed it on a straight angle its a forsure goal

It was a hard call.

hova 06-07-2004 04:27 PM

If it wasn't a goal, it wasn't a goal.........it doesn't matter what we say

cayne 06-07-2004 04:37 PM

Can't see shit...on the pic...

Vitasoy 06-07-2004 04:40 PM

You can't tell if it was a goal or not cause the puck was in the air on edge. So on other words, if the goal is indecisive, then it's ruled as a no goal.

TweetyBird 06-07-2004 04:45 PM

I can't see the puck on the pic :helpme

The refs nor any players knew where the puck was.. so the ref really wasn't watching well enough.. I'm sure some university student or prof will figure out the angle of the different camera shots and then measure the distance to see if it was indeed behind the line... :)

Cheers,
Matt

Think Dallas Stanley Cup game 7 and then ask again.....

Mutt 06-07-2004 04:58 PM

that was no friggin goal, but nice try, it will no doubt make a nice and handy excuse for Calgary fans for the next 50 years should they lose tonight.

HarryHo 06-07-2004 05:01 PM

I'm all for calgary , but , that picture isn't at the right angle to judge if its over or not. Very hard to see

digi 06-07-2004 05:02 PM

I thought it looked like a goal on tv but I didnt realize it was in the air so now I dunno.

49thParallel 06-07-2004 05:07 PM

The picture in the Calgary Sun pretty much solved this discussion. The angle is directly from the side...and the puck did not go over the line.

Bob Vila 06-07-2004 06:33 PM

Its stupid that they dont have a camera directly above the line, or even built into the pol so there no way to miss a goal. you cant tell if this puck is touching the ice or not so it has to be no goal

EviLGuY 06-07-2004 06:36 PM

Looks like a goal to me..

RyanL 06-07-2004 06:56 PM

Of all the replays I've seen its hard to tell.. but it doesnt look like a goal.. close but not quite..
