It only runs once...

and thats if you crashed or didn't power off properly

Just let it run once. Or push any button to make it go away.

...or...

Go to start/run/ type in msconfig <enter>

Go to the startup tab and look in the list to see if chkdsk is in the startup. If so, remove the checkmark beside it.

no record of crashed.. yes, it shoudl only run once. but everytime i reboot, it runs automatically during the start-up mode.

If it's happening every time you boot it may be a signal that your hard drive is going wacky and you better get things backed up just in case.

Do /start/run and type regedit

Do F3 (search) and type runonce

On your left, in the tree, you will see Run and Runonce directories

Check them and delete unwanted startup items.

Do some more F3's and delete what you want from Run / Runonce

Exit and you're finished.
