Anybody making money by submitting galleries to TGP's?

Ive always found making galleries to be a pain. I usually only submit galleries to bring in extra traffic to my sites.

I keep hearing about how people supposedly are making 4k-5k a month with only gallerys.

I used to say bullshit...but I keep hearing this more and more.

Any input?

A well designed gallery with the right sponsor can convert just as well as SE traffic so of course there's money to be made - and more than 4-5K/month.

I know webmasters that make that much of tgp traffic I dont but I,m still in restucter mode after all of porncity hosting got canned put to many eggs in 1 basket. I was doing ok till then. but I have learned heaps.

if you optimize your galleries , pick the right sponsors and submit to as many tgps as you can i think it's possible to earn 4-5k from tgp gals

A good gallery, if not on a free host, burns 20 Gigs, when it gets 100K of traffic.
So that will be $60 to cover...
It takes you 30 minutes to make a good, clean gallery with the right content.
It takes you two hours to post your gallery to 250 different Sites.

100K of traffic will give you between 500 and 5000 banner clicks ( depends on the banner/content/quality of traffic)

Sign-ups between 0 and 9 a day
say you will make $150 a day
minus $60 for your bandwidth

$3000 a month excluding resale and traffic to a main page.
For a three hour a day job that's ok I guess.

But still you have to get listed!

When using a freehost means your sign-ups will go down, but there is no bandwidth to pay for. Depends on the sponsors if you should use a freehost...the freehosts make money...

We only build galleries for traffic to the main pages, if we break even it's ok with us.
As long as they bookmark the main page.
We also use content we buy, so our costs are a bit higher but we are posted more frequently because of the fresh content.
But I think anyone can make good money with the right sponsors and the quality traffic of the right TGP sites.

And there are webmasters that work 12 hours a day, 7 days per week to build galleries and submitting them all day long.
I guess you still need to do some WORK to make money...

i'm sure you can make more than 4k if you spend 12 hours a day, 7 days per week...

VIP your kinda on the right track. But before Opening lightning Free this is how I did it, and still do, just the new galleries slowed down a bit. OK heres my math. I bring in 0nly 50 cents a day on a gallery, (and thats a gallery thats just floating out there in space, and old one) so I have built approx 1000 galleries in the past few years. And new galleries bring in more at first when there made and first submitted all over.
Now do the math 1000 x .50 = $500.00 per day X 30 days a month thats 15k a month, just from a bunch of old galleries. Yes its true that some galleries drop of in traffic, so Iam constantly resubmitting the dead galleries to get some traffic back to them, but this method does work. It takes some work to get this many galleries built, but for the payoff its not a bad deal.

Lightning , your plan sounds good but how can one person handle making 1000 gals a day and submit them???

haboles, you misunderstand, Not 1000 galleries a day, I mean 1000 total galleries.
make a few submit the shit out of them, then make some more... keep doing this untill you have 1000 galleries... hell dont stop there, keep making more... Galleries will continue to get some hits forever, I dont know where they come from, but they do.

My way of making galleries is a little different from most. I burn about 10-12 gigs/day so that's $25-$30 for bandwidth. I make each thumb individually and optimize each pic individually plus hand submit to about 150 TGPs so I spend about 3-4 hours per gallery. Each gallery will have about 1500 click-thrus to the sponsor which convert at 1:100 being paid around $12/sign-up. So that's $150 net/day X 30 = $4500 net/month. And then what Lightning says is absolutely true. The more galleries you have out there, the more that $4500 is going to rise. BTW, this is all assuming you submit 1 gallery/day.

Heres 1 thing I do I send about 10 extra good extra clean gallerys to a new bigger tgp then I e,mail them to see If I can get on the regaular list or A list most of the time this works and you dont need a reciept to slow down your page anymore you also get posted striate away there are plenty of tgp's now that dont take puplic submissions and if your not on the list you dont get posted.

I usually made 2 or 3 sales a week from my gallery postings, the main reason I do it is for fresh traffic to my site - so it's a nice bonus.

There are lots of guys that do nothing but post and make plenty from it though.

I'd like to comment here, but as i only have 3 galleries listed, my talking is just BS.... but i have noticed that you don't really make your returns on bandwidth spent, if you host it yourself...

I am still making money off galleries I submitted in July of last year. Not alot, but some money is better than no money.

I'm afraid to test that theory so far, but I get lots of submissions on pay hosting - guys that have been submitting to me a long time. If they didn't make a profit I'm sure they'd quit. http://bbs.gofuckyourself.com/board/smile.gif

Of course I don't exactly hammer them, on a good day I might send 3k, but I'm assuming they're submitting to bigger guys too.

I use freehosts on 90 percent of my gallerys and some I get hits on that I made and submitted 3 and 4 years ago from archives..
There's money there but not overnight..
I also use some sites that pay per signup and some that are 50-50 and have been getting rebills on some for over a year..

To do galleries or not to do galleries, that is the question...

The bottom line is the more real estate you have working for you the more likely you'll make money.

I see some of you talking about free hosting versus paying for your hosting.

Every day some freehost is fucking people for their traffic. Unless you find one that you totally trust and are not already banned everywhere, they will eventually fuck you.

I used to use all freehosting and my galleries that would still be there are gone forever. Some actually discontinued my access and changed the sponsor codes to there own. I mean there are some really fucked up free hosts.

My :2 cents: is pay for your hosting and don't pay more then 75c per gig gallery hosting.

On second thought, stay on freehosts and get listed less. More room for my galleries.

BTW, try burning 200 gigs or more a day... you'll get off that 2.00 a gig and up quick for sure!

the secret is to post 3-4 galleries a day.
from different alias, domain, IP (get some free dialup accounts), different layout/sponsor.

right, quality BW is available for pennies/gig if you buy enough of it.

i think a pay about 20cents/gig right now.
