user name password in members area Help

Hi there are some wmv files in my members area that promt a user name and password when you try to view them/download them. How do you set it up so it will not ask for this? The mpgs don't do this only wmv files??

There was a bug in IE that made it possible to spoof the URL in de address bar, I think they removed that feature to fix the bug.

That doesnt happen anymore to me- I'm not sure if it's due to the version or wmp I'm using or ie6

put the videos in an unprotected directory and have a script that changes the url of that directory periodically.

just use another auth system than htaccess+htpasswd...

Yeah,

I remember them removing that feature a while back...

In my opinion it was a good idea.
