ICQ is So Gay
 

i don't care whose birthday it is, every birthday reminder I've got so far has been for somebody i'm not even remotely friendly with, how do i stop this messenger of gayness? what's next, ICQ is going to let me know when somebody is sad and needs a cyber hug?

ICQ is one of the best technological tools in my opinion...i wouldn't call it gay, it's helped me out alot..i do think there is an option to turn of that stuff....

Ok Mutt, it's rediculous but it's not possible to turn this shit off.
Well at least you can turn off the sound for the b-day reminder:
go main>preferences>history, alerts & sounds> tab sound> sound schemes: my settings and then you can disable it!

Yeah that shit that pops up gets real annoying after a while but I think it's pretty much an essential tool in this biz.

its the best for fast msgs plus you can turn off all that shit besides do you really think they enter their bday details for real :Graucho

I don't understand why everyone insists on using ICQ. It's probably the most used IM program by webmasters, so you're pretty much stuck with it. Dropped messages piss me off.
