with those firewire/usb2 external hard drives, can i access it just like i would my C drive? could i watch movies located on the external drive without having to do this and that or move it to the other drive?

i have 4 external usb 2.0 200 gb drives...i bought the drives and put them in the usb2.0 caddy

i can run all four drives at once and no slowdown....just as good as scsi, never had a problem

each one cost less than $150 shipping included

Jace 06-06-2004 03:04 PM

the speed of the drive is the speed of the drive, has nothing to do with usb or firewire

usb and firwire are methods of transporting the data to your computer....and usb2.0 is faster than firewire

depends for what you need it for... the pockeys are awsome and compact...size of a small calculator, they dont need a power source, they hook up to usb2 or firewire..great product :thumbsup
