Anyone us a ordless mouse and keyboard?
(post should say "cordless mouse and keyboard)
I was thinking of wasting some money, but i wondered if anyone else had luck with these? or not http://bbs.gofuckyourself.com/board/wink.gif I know some of this stuff works and some does not ... I suppose I could always take it back, but I really hate installing unnecessary software [This message has been edited by Rip (edited 02-08-2001).] |
Rip I own 3 of the Logictech ones and they work great for me. Only had one fail and that was because daughter spilled a soda onto it *L*. guess that would ruin about any of them though

LOL yeah I hear you, there usually when mine start getting quirky I give them to the kids and they thrash the hell out of them, using up the remaining life span of the keyboard and mouse http://bbs.gofuckyourself.com/board/wink.gif

I don't think that it's worth spending the money unless you can actually use the wireless ability of the mouse and/or keyboard. I'm always sitting at my computer desk, so there's no sense for me to have one. I'd base it on that preference. I don't have any experience with wireless keyboards or mice, but I know that I personally would rather have a cord attached.
Here's the mouse that I've got - http://www.razerzone.com/products/index.html the Razer Boomslang 2000, it's a KILLER mouse, It's mainly a gaming mouse, but it's also great for everyday use. Check out how precise that puppy is. It has 2000 dpi, which is up to 3 times as high as most other mice. It's great. It costs $99, but I think that it's definately worth it. Some people might say that it's still a ball mouse, but it's much more acurate than the infared mice. Anyways, I know that I didn't help you with your answer, I just rambled on, but that's what I do best, he he he Slick [This message has been edited by Slick (edited 02-08-2001).] |
I have a Logitech set that I use too. I have one of my computers hooked into a big screen TV so I can sit at the couch and surf the internet or whatever. It works perfectly at about 7 feet away. I don't get any lag or delayed reaction time, and the batteries seem to last a long time too.

You know what I'm really waiting for, is a heads up display like some goggles or something. I know that there's a few out there, but if you read the specs, they all SUCK with only being able to pump out like 800 x 600 resolution. Imagine not having to sit in a chair anymore. Being able to recline back, and look up at the ceiling or anywhere you wanted to. Add a wireless keyboard and mouse to the setup and SCHWING!

I *highly* recommend a wireless mouse and keyboard. I have been using the same one for about 2 years now. Even if you sit at a desk it is worth it because you don't have the cords getting all tangled up. Make sure that you DON'T get an infrared. Instead get the ones that say they work off of radio waves. These can work through walls and work pretty damn good. It's great to hook up a game like You Don't Know Jack up to the TV in the living room when you have company over to play a few rounds with a lot of people! Anyway, you should be able to get a Logitech wireless mouse & keyboard system for about $100 and it is very much worth it!

I guess most of the current headsets give you massive headaches after a while too.
I remember when Nintendo had that Virtual Boy thing and then had to scrap it because kids were getting headaches. |
I use the logitech cordless marble mouse, with the webwheel. I love it, It's the greatest thing since sliced bread... i sit with my feet up on the desk, and i cruise the net, checking out stuff, and i can have my mouse in my hand sitting in my lap. since it's a Trackball...I am waiting to get the keyboard. till i have some time to go try them out.. But i am definately getting one...
