You're wrong... it depends on country you live in. In my country (as well as in many other countries) you can buy brand new BMW 740d, and even 730i or 730Li.

But in USA you won't find less than 745i - both BMW and Mercedes-Benz sell only most expensive and powerful cars in that country... probably because all BMW-lovers there are millionairs :)

Btw, question to all newest BMW lovers and owners! I saw on photos that some newest BMW cars don't have a transmission switcher :)... At least it seemed so to me... instead they've got some flat rotating shit... can anyone tell me how does it work, and is it really good solution? :)

that SL600 looks very fun to drive :)

I used to drive one (a bit older) and i can tell you it is :)

The BMW is nice, but it a ragtop and looks funky with the top up.
The SL is a hardtop convertible, so it looks nice with the top up or down.

I prefer Mercedes.

Think what you are referring to there is the "i-drive" which is for accessing various fuctions like radio, climate control etc.

I generally dont liek beemers but that one is acceptable

Probably it is it.... but where is transmission? Even veeery automatic one needs a switch between forward and rear direction :)
