Vegas really sucks
 

There is no fucking way I would ever use Vegas as a venue if I was a professional fighter. Unless you knock out the other guy, you are screwed. Let the fight go to the cards, and it is anybody's guess.

Case in point, tonight's fight between Oscar De La Hoya and Felix Sturm.

De La Hoya got his ass kicked, even Lederman (who always scores in favor of people like De La Hoya) scored him losing 115-113 (I scored it 117-111), and Lampley and Roy Jones, Jr. bothe agreed that Oscar lost.

What happened? All 3 judges scored it exactly the same, 115-113 in favor of Oscar!

Shit, when they were announcing the decision, and they said "all three jusges rule . . . " you could see by the look on Oscar's face that he had lost. When they said he won, the look on his face reflected that he was a surprised as anyone in the place.

Sucks for Sturm, he won . . .had the fight been in any other location than Las Vegas, he would have gotten the decision.

I can't watch boxing.. its nearly as rigged as WWE. :)

i used to watch boxing quite a bit, but when you see someone get the shit beat out of them and they still win??.....kinda takes the enjoyment out of it. i havent watched any in a long time now.

It was funny that after the 9th or 10th round they went into Hopkins dressing room and interviewed him. He said Oscar need to win the next two rounds to win. Oscar got whipped in the next two rounds. He also said Oscar would have to step it up if he was going to have a chance against him.

After the fight Hopkins went into the ring complimenting Oscar's strong comeback in the last two rounds!

What a load of crap . . . . of course, for $12 million, I would probably start a different thread talking De La Hoya up too.

I have watched a few vegas fights on TV and have seen more than one fighter robbed in the past, it sucks.

yep, the united states of las vegas.....

the only place where you could shoot the pope at midnight new years eve right on the strip, and no one would do anything but give you a disturbing the peace ticket, or you could get life for spitting on the sidewalk in front of the wrong person....
