There is no fucking way I would ever use Vegas as a venue if I was a professional fighter. Unless you knock out the other guy, you are screwed. Let the fight go to the cards, and it is anybody's guess.
Case in point, tonight's fight between Oscar De La Hoya and Felix Sturm.
De La Hoya got his ass kicked, even Lederman (who always scores in favor of people like De La Hoya) scored him losing 115-113 (I scored it 117-111), and Lampley and Roy Jones, Jr. bothe agreed that Oscar lost.
What happened? All 3 judges scored it exactly the same, 115-113 in favor of Oscar!
Shit, when they were announcing the decision, and they said "all three jusges rule . . . " you could see by the look on Oscar's face that he had lost. When they said he won, the look on his face reflected that he was a surprised as anyone in the place.
Sucks for Sturm, he won . . .had the fight been in any other location than Las Vegas, he would have gotten the decision.
