De La Hoya vs Felix Sturm
That was probably one of the best technical fights I've seen but how the fuck did De La Hoya win? He barely made it out of the ring.

thats what i heard

De LaHoya is the man
|
Oscar lost 115-113, nobody except the judges saw Oscar taking it home.
He should retire right now, he made all the money in the world. He's a great guy and wrote boxing history. Boxing fans at the end of this century will still talk about Oscar. This is a fight that he didn't win. That poor German guy fought the fight of his life, made Oscar look like a fat old fool and this is what he gets. Hopkins will slaughter him. It will be bloody and nasty, and possibly hurting Oscar's health. He shouldn't do it. |

I think you mean De La Hoya is a bitch.... Cuz he got his ass kick tonight.... that for sizzle!! |
indeed... he got his ass kicked. Sturm shoulda won but I knew the judges could never let that happen.

I was at the fight, looked like DLH won it to me from ringside.
He's got no business stepping in the ring with Hopkins though, he'll be killed. Also no reason to hate on DLH, he's fought the best in the game, taken more tough fights than any active fighter and he's earned his respect many times over. |
Damn I missed it. Forgot all about it. :(

I would sure like to see the judges cards to see what rounds they gave to Oscar, that is for sure.
Since all 3 were the same, I am betting they were filled out before the fight even started. |

That's what I like about olympic boxing. The judges have to publish the score every round and it is all in the open.
This fight was another one in the long history of scandalous fights. It is hard to call this sport if the best doesn't win due to an already set fight in September. |
it was like schulz against foreman
