question about the wedding?

lets say you got invited to a wedding, and there is 1 best man and 6 best guys,

for all 6 guys you need to rent toxedos, they make me pay $100 for it, is that how it works ? or its all should be paid by the couple who is getting married ?

it is suppose to be paid for by the couple getting married

the man is spose to pay for his groomsmen and alcohol
the bride's family pay for everythign else

It goes both ways. Sometimes they pay, sometimes you pay. I never liked it that way, but that's how it is.

Cheap asses won't pay

Every time I've been in a wedding we had to pay for or shit. Some places give the groom a freebie when he has 5 or more guys in his wedding.

Atleast you are renting. I once had to pay to have a dress CUSTOM MADE for a wedding
There was a lot of talk behind that bride's back, i can tell ya.

The bride and groom dont pay for anyone, the bridal party pays for their own shit.

Depends their family traditions - we wanted custom made dresses so we paid for it all. (I didn't have groomsmen) In all weddings where I was bridesmaid - the families paid for everything but in the end, the gift we all pitched in for was close to the value.

Every wedding is different on who pays for what. Some people are traditional and some aren't...

i guess it depends on the culture & tradition and maybe hmmm how well-off the couple is, here in the Philippines, the groom is the one who takes all the responsibility, catering, flowers, brides gown, video & photo service, and even the gowns & barongs of the entourage, but as time goes by, couples here are more practical, they basically share all the expenses, and when it comes to entourage, they let the sponsors pay for their gowns & barongs.

if it was a gift i wouldnt mind giving them, but paying $100 for toxedo is now what i am interested in.

$100 isnt that bad. If its not worth it to you, you could always back out and have someone else fill your spot.
