yeah, if used very very responsibly, OC can be really fun, try cutting that pill in half and taking that at first, i wouldnt recommend a whole pill your first time

my mother was addicted to them...she had lung cancer that had gone into her bones...they are similar to morphine...on the same level depending on dosage...she overdosed on them once accidently (so spaced out that she wasn't away when she took the last dosages and since she was in pain took more)...and man was that woman sick from the overdose.
she passed away shortly after

I used to take it daily for pain. It was the only thing that would work. It didn't really make me "high" or anything but it put me into a very good mood. I could see how people could get addicted to it.

I had 2 friends die from overdosing on Oxycontins. I've never nor will I ever try it.

You see what shape a majority of crack and heroin addicts are in; what would possess someone to try those drugs!?!?! OC's are opiates and as, if not more addictive than heroin.

i've been prescribed hydrocodone for various broken bones and even as a cough supressant, and i sure loved it... definitely the best "high" i've experienced... which is limited to only alcohol and weed... but it's a good thing that it's not available over the counter or cheap on the streets because i might very well find myself looking for more. it's a great feeling, but it's important not to abuse it. too many people's lives are fucked up because of it.

oxycontin is time released, oxycodone is not. The preferred recreational use for oxy is to crush and snort. Not that Id ever do something like that nor recommend it.

that is just dumb....that would signify that they are cheap, and oxy's are not cheap....hillbilly crack is like ritalin or meth, cheap shit, quick high..

I was prescribed it once for severe pain. I was on it daily for about 3 or 4 weeks. It was awesome for pain. I am not an addictive person, so no problems here. But, if you don't need it, don't take it.:)

Nope, don't drink, but point taken on the cigs. Of course it took MUCH longer than 1 or 2 a day for a few weeks to get hooked on them.:winkwink:

But, I don't like pain pills, so I didn't really worry about taking the oxycontin.

yeah, and if you turn your faucet on and dip it under a few times, the coating comes right off

also when you crush it up the time release coating will go into chunks and you can get rid of it that way also

i have taken oxy's for years, never a lot at once or for more than 1 pill a week, and I have not taken them for weeks at a time too.....and I am not addicted....they are fun, but like any drug if they are not taken in moderation they can be evil
