Anyone who throws parties at the Nikki Beach Club in South Beach, Miami has got MY vote! It's argueably one of the hottest clubs in the country. From the pics of seen of guys in here, NONE of you would get anywhere near past the "rope" there.

The Chics in South Beach are SOOOOOOOO fuckin' hot. I was on the beach all day today and they were out in full force. Topless, toned and tanned. It's been 90 and sunny here for like the past three weeks. Water temp. about 85. And ALL the hotties got to Nikki Beach!!!!

You have never done promotion do you ?

1st if you are throwing a party, you gotta either rent the place (wich is 5-10k sometimes more depending on places ... the big tent for the rave is 18k $) .

2ndly you gotta print flyers ... a good design and like 10 000 good flyers = 750 $

3rd you gotta do some radio add if the party is anywhere big ...

4th you gotta pay for gas to do the distribution of the flyer

You have also to find sponsors for drinks etc ... you NEED money to throw / promote a party .

And if you are talking about tables @ 500 $, I highly doubt they need promoters to do events there unless it's a real big star popping out ... so why would they hire her to promote it ...

And I've promoted plenty of parties in NYC when I lived there. Palladium, Limelight, Tunnel, all the big clubs of the day. Promoters get PAID to bring in the good crowd. You just rent spaces and throw parties, it seems.

Exactly but hottest places can't be rent unless you pay as much as they would get normally for cover ... and you are talking about this one like it's the HOTTEST in the world .

And as far as club promoting ... sorry but I got the 2 biggest local websites, a local magasine that's all about clubs, about 50 flyer racks arround town in different hot spots, 17 fulltime guys in house and couple street guys that work on distribution week end days ... I think I know pretty much what I'm doing ... all the clubs come see us and pay us to do their promo ... everybody is in one single bag . There isn't any serious promoter arround here that can compete except maybe Ebony and Ivory wich brings more black ppl ...

k... Well there are independant promoters that throw parties and get paid by the bar to bring people here too but it just don't work well for more then 3 parties in a row for most of them. But why would the hottest place need a promoter ? that's just what I'm saying

Dude.. even space which packs thousands a night and to me is the hottest places in miami.. uses promoters.. is never enough man...

Space is open from 11 to about 2 pm and is packed every single minute.. charging anywhere from $25 and up... yet they use promoters.. w/o promoters nobody would know is the hot place.. :)

Ok ... I dunno here the big spots only use us a little ... they can be packed and full at like 10-11 99 % of the time . (Here club close at 3 ... so packed at 10 is awesome) There are actually 4 hot spots like that in the city ... always the same and it say like that for 2-3 years then hype goes on another club .

the biggest clubs down here in south beach are pormoted by word of mouth and who you know. the name, location and day are usually kept quite too.

These type of clubs never promote with a flyer or a website. thats the kiss of death if you want upscale money people.

I dunno here the classiest club got all business man because the man that owns it owns probably 25 % of the city public space ...

Their technique to hype it is to spend like 10 k a month on radio, 10k in flyers and flood everywhere with promo and let the big guys get in VIP ... when you get in front of a 500 people lineup you feal important . I guess it's just different mentalities or something ...

Word of mouth here is for rave ... cauz they are illegal in this city . We are big enough to make thing move ... we got a permit and everything because we bring really big names for the place but most of the people really do it underground like you are talking .

I dunno ... first time I learn something about clubs from somebody on this board ... lol :P

But I'm often doing club flyers design for clubs in the states ... so I guess it's limited to classy places or something

as for nikki beach

the only time to really go there is sunday

it can be tough to get in

unless

a reservation (gotta spend $500/buying a bottle of liquor/table ect)

you or your date is hot/dressed right

you give the doorman a $20 and then pay addmission (or give him a $50 and your right in)

you know someone

you just get lucky

Nah ... most of the VIP is full of millionaires . Business mans meets there for 4 to 7 like 3 times a week .

The owner owns 25 % of the city ...
The manager was the guy that was managing the campaing of the mayor...

And the mayor and other people are always there. Rich business mans .

I actually doubt they are making any real money with the club ... they spent over 25 000 $ some months just in advertising with us . They are on all radio station too all the fucking time .

Mynt ( althought i personally think it sucks, is always packed and is hot ) hardly ever uses flyers... but prive does and uses a lot of emails... Space uses flyers and so does crobar... etc...

There are always lil hot spots that are kept *secret*.. but in reality the money is not on 3 hi rollers, but a few.. so is half and half...
