I'm going to preface this by saying, I DO NOT use kiddy porn keywords, but only because you guys would all Lynch me (no pun intended.)

All this shit about having kiddy porn keywords.... it's like a witch hunt.

"Party line" is ... if you get caught with the KEYWORDS (not the actual thing) you are part of the KP problem.

Most say, "make the stuff stand out, so it can be shut down."

I say, "being shut down is a cost of doing business. They're back up again in a day. Make it HARDER to find kiddy porn... FLOOD the engines with false KP keyworded pages, and no one will be able to find KP on the web.

One problem I see with adding ANY keyword, be it pro-KP or anti-KP, is that kids use search engines also. Some basic words can be used to promote KP such as "lollipop lover". If someone types in lollipop looking for tootsie pops & get a KP site, is that right? Same thing could be said about "young". It's a general term & even a surname. If someone type in "John Young" & get a KP site just because "young" is a keyword of that site, you can be sure there will be hell to pay.

On the other hand, should we ban such words as keywords. If you're promoting "Young Sexy Asian Babes", you could be in trouble for having "young" & "babes" as keywords. Pretty soon you won't be able Asians because that would offend the Asian community.

KP sites DO end up in engines from them spidering all the time. And adding more metas that way will hinder the police from searching as well. If I *ever* catch the ahole that used the 'spice girls' in their meta.... My 9 yo step daughter was first learning online searching and I went to the restroom after she ran a search on the SG's... I come back to find her staring at a naked woman on the opening page of a free host site... and the meta was FULL of kiddie terms like that. What kind of person would rather make a dollar more from that method? Maybe not someone actually DOing KP, but they surely aren't against it obviously. I go with you Wizzo! KP sells on the net because the net is (somewhat)private. I would imagine that that industry (sad) trudged along through the mail and word of mouth before the information highway was paved.

Even now in cyberspace's infancy, KP must cower in what dark corners of the web still exist.

Using KP keywords on a site is somewhat akin to the assembly of a nuclear weapon:
1) The warhead is built in Whatcha City.
2) The casing is built in Whoosie Town.
3) The fuel is made in Wahoo Plateu.
4) They are all assembled in Amarillo, Texas.
You still end up with a big bad bomb.

To put KP words on a site regardless of whether one sells it or not, still makes you a cog in the KP machine.

Surprisingly i agree with you liquid, but what this guy is saying is he thinks it is right to create fictitious places, and create Kiddie porn dead ends to protect the kiddie webmasters, and also to make it harder to find said porn..

Which brings an interesting thought to mind. When some conservative senator starts a bill to get the adult industry penalized, he sits down at his computer, and types in some sort of porn searchword. I'd bet that he sees the Myriad of pages filled with words like "young, Teen, Kid or kids, little girls.... ETC.." that the first thing he thinks is that there is a growing epidemic of underaged porn going on. That hurts, ANY adult webmaster, or content provider, or end user. because it is the people who do legal business on the net that get hurt. The people hiding actually putting this stuff on the net, are hiding behind our own misuse of terms, and people like Skitz who find it neccessary to help promote and hide criminals.

For the purpose of my exemple, i'll pretend i'm trafficking in "un-used alien spacecraft parts".(UASP)

Obviously since i'm completely underground, i am not putting my site on yahoo with UASP keywords. So what do I do?

1)I just make my home computer run a domain name server (DNS). Whats that? That's a centralised server where you associate a name with an IP address. Since I control the server, i can create an .UASP or .XXX or .Whatever.

2) Ok, but if I type yoursite.UASP it says site not found. Thats because my name is not indexed by your isp (and I don't want it to!), instead you change your primary DNS to check for my.dns.address first and if search fails, you move to the secondary or third DNS (or your isp, or which ever).

3) I give my contacts who do UASP with me the IP 127.0.0.1 of my DNS and they can spider my entire underground net and find all the other sites.

See, there is 2 type of UASP traders. The lamers who will put a big sign at yahoo, and there is the softicated ones. Adding more junk in your pages like "VERY RARE UASP", or which ever will only deal with a small fraction of the problem (the lamer group) and add junk to the already garbaged SE.

Your bruteforce aproach does not work against sophistication.

If thousands of adult webmasters WORKED TOGETHER to make it impossible to find kiddy porn using the search engines, HOW is that making a profit off of kiddy porn?

1. No one would REALLY have kiddy porn, so no one who WANTS kiddy porn would sign up at one of the sites that was using the keywords.

2. It would be a CONCERTED effort, so there would be no advantage for a webmaster to do this, since EVERYONE would be doing it.

3. SURFERS who go looking for KP on the Web would soon realize it's FUTILE to try to find the needle in a haystack, and they'll go elsewhere.

4. PURVEYORS of Kiddy Porn would soon realize that it's not worth their time or effort to put up websites, and THEY would go somewhere else.

5. THE PUBLIC, if we were to do this right, would be informed of what we're doing, and it might be seen as the "legitimate" adult webmasters trying to destroy the profitablity of the KP webmasters.

I realize that this only affects the Web itself, not newsgroups, etc... but... The Web is OUR backyard, OUR ground. We can't change the world, but we can change our corner of it.
