if so tell me what you're using and how good the pic quality is. i was thinking of picking up an infocus projector to try it out.

STRoGE has a sweet one.

Actually, he posted some pics in a thread a while back... but no idea where it would be.
The image is crystal clear though, way better than the best projection TV's... |
Infocus Z1 perhaps ?
I would be wary, if you can see the rainbow effect you'd want to definetly go for an LCD projecter. Hit me up on ICQ: 216233171 i'll give you some advice :thumbsup |

hi def dvd quality
you cant get better instore models aren't a good example to go by - too much light. the infocus is a killer deal for the money i couldnt be happier with it every negative/downside i read about during much research all turned out to be much less of an issue than I had read /thought. |

The new model is not as good as the x1, the x1 has a faroudja(sp?) processor that makes the video really come out nice. The only real downside that I think the x1 has is that its not native widescreen. Other than that its great.

yeah but the one i was looking for i was thinking of just using in the office to project say a nice little 80 to 100 inch screen on a white wall so i can watch nfl and play ps2 while i'm at my desk.
:thumbsup |
Go for it you can't beat it, as long as you have a good dark room. Just don't expect to be satisfied watching a regular size TV ever again. Some video games can make you quite dizzy when playing on it at first, but you get used to it.
I picked up the X1 off Amazon for less than $1k about 6-8 months ago and it still looks great. The rainbow effect some people complain about can be seen if you blink your eyes really fast or wave your hand in front of it, but during normal viewing it doesn't seem to be a problem. |
No one thats been over to watch mine has noticed rainbow effect. I can see it if I really LOOK for it, but normal watching I dont notice it. I picked up my x1 off dell small business for around $750 after discounts and coupons.
