A muslim businessman wants to charge me interest on borrowed money!
 

So I tell this dude that he cannot charge me interest because his religion forbid to charge interest, yet he insist he can as a mulsim charge me interest since I'm a non-muslim. I think he is trying to pull a fast one on me. Any mulsims can shed a light on this?

I used to have a Muslim boss and he told me it was forbidden for him to either charge interest or accept it.

i think usury is probably "forbidden" in christianity too.

fuck religion! he can charge you whatever. Just because a little book tells him its wrong doesnt mean he can't do it.

Who are you going to report him to? What type of penalty does it hold? Truthfully, would you lend money without getting something in return? Are you giving him a secure guarantee? I don't see why he'd want to or have to lend you the money for that matter.

His religion, his god, his business, let him deal with his own conscience and beliefs

If he is a beliver then he can't charge you interest. Not directly anyway.

But if he is investing the money in to your business he can ask for a cut if you make money.

You share the profit and you share the loss...
