404 favicon.ico ???
I posted this once before but never got any 100% answer.
I se many 404 favicon.ico errors in my server logs, what is it mean? |
Browsers look for an icon file - look at your browser's location window right now - see the yellow and blue check mark graphic next to the URL? that's one of them..
assuming you are using IE or Netscape... |
type this (favicon.ico) into google and it will explain it all.:thumbsup
|
favicon is a small icon you see if you add a site to your bookmarks or use Mozilla Firefox.
Nothing to worry about unless you want to put a little symbol of your site for bookmarkers |

favicon.ico doesnt always appear in IE though when you save a page as a fav
|
Yeah, it's good. I never put one just because I like to see how many times someone is bookmarking me. :1orglaugh

allright I forgot to ask whats the size of the icons? (width height) :glugglug

16X16. I think 32X32 will scale down, as well.
It's got to be saved as .ico |
Also, you have to add the html to your page headers, too.
